Hey, I’m

Speech Language Pathologist student at University of Louisiana at Monroe

About Me
I am a senior at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. As a Speech Language Pathology major, I am passionate about working with a variety of ages form different backgrounds, who suffer from speech or language disorders. My main goal is to work with clients that suffer from dysphagia and other swallowing disorders. Helping people in general has always been my calling. I hope to make the world a better place one small step at a time.
Out of the Classroom

In my free time, I enjoy going swimming and cycling around a park. In the past, I have volunteered for Autism Speaks by operating one of their booths at local races, and helping get the kids and other participants ready for the marathon. In the Summer of 2021, I participated and volunteered for the St. Jude of the Twin Cities as a part of their local race for the cure.
Outcomes and Experience
While observing the high level of competence working with Mindy Jones, M.S., CCC-SLP on a project for HLST 2002, I Received a glimpse of what the healthcare system is like and ran with it. During an interview, we explored many different types of treatments depending on the severity of the disorder of the client. For certain treatments, the report given to the insurance had to be written in a specific way to justify that the client's time was well spent, and the insurance would be willing to cover the costs.
